K-POP Demon Hunters Seoul Pilgrimage: Efficient Routes 🗺️
Many fans are planning to visit the Seoul landmarks that served as backdrops for the anime K-POP Demon Hunters (Kedeheon). However, since the locations are scattered throughout Seoul, planning an efficient route is essential. If you're planning a Kedeheon Seoul pilgrimage, it's recommended to divide your course into two main zones.
The first is the Gangbuk Downtown Course. This area is mostly concentrated in Jongno-gu and Jung-gu, and includes Naksan Park, Bukchon Hanok Village, and Myeongdong Street. These three spots are relatively close, making them suitable to visit together in one day. You can experience both the quiet charm and the vibrant energy of Seoul while traveling by subway and on foot.
The second is the Gangnam and Hangang Course. This spans Gangnam-gu, Gwangjin-gu, and Songpa-gu, and includes the COEX K-POP Square, Jayang Station (Ttukseom Hangang Park), Cheongdam Bridge, and Jamsil's Lotte World Tower and Olympic Stadium. This area showcases the modern side of Seoul and is perfect for enjoying splendid night views centered around the Hangang River.
Of course, visiting all these places in one day is impossible. It's wise to plan a 2-day itinerary by splitting the Gangbuk and Gangnam courses based on your schedule and stamina, or to create a one-day trip by selecting 3-4 locations you most want to visit.
Recommended Courses by Zone
- Gangbuk Intensive Course (Walking/Public Transit): Bukchon Hanok Village (Morning) → Myeongdong Street (Lunch/Shopping) → Naksan Park (Sunset/Night View)
- Gangnam Intensive Course (Public Transit): COEX K-POP Square (Morning) → Jamsil Lotte World Tower (Afternoon) → Jayang Station/Ttukseom Hangang Park (Evening/Night View)
Essential Preparations and Precautions Before Your Pilgrimage 🎒
To ensure a pleasant visit to the Kedeheon filming locations, it's good to check a few preparations and precautions. A little preparation can make your pilgrimage experience much more enriching and comfortable.
The most important item is comfortable shoes. Most locations, including Naksan Park and Bukchon Hanok Village, involve a lot of walking and include uphill paths. Taking great photos is important, but comfortable feet are key to enjoying more places.
Also, since your smartphone will be used non-stop for maps, photos, and information, a portable battery is a must. It's also a good idea to capture screenshots of scenes from the anime beforehand to capture your desired shots. It's fun to compare them on-site while taking pictures.
- Essential Items: A charged T-money card (or other transit pass), portable battery, comfortable sneakers, and water or drinks suitable for the season.
- Visiting Precautions:
- Respect Residential Areas: Bukchon Hanok Village is a space where actual residents live. Please practice 'quiet tourism' by refraining from loud conversations, visiting early in the morning or late at night.
- Check Operating Hours: Places like the Lotte World Tower observatory (Seoul Sky) have set closing times. Be sure to check the operating hours on the official website before visiting.
- Check for Construction: The Seoul Olympic Stadium may be under renovation. It's best to check its availability or viewing areas in advance.
- Prepare for Crowds: Myeongdong and COEX are very crowded on weekends and evenings. Be mindful of your belongings and plan your travel time generously.
Naksan Park Night View & Hanyangdoseong Fortress Wall 🌙
Naksan Park, which appeared as the backdrop where Rumi and Jinu exchanged feelings in the anime, is one of Seoul's most iconic night view spots. When the lights turn on along the Hanyangdoseong Fortress Wall, the city lights spreading out below and the tranquility of the fortress create a unique atmosphere.
It's accessible on foot from Hyehwa Station (Line 4), and taking a village bus can make the ascent a bit easier. Some parts of the path up to the park are steep, so comfortable shoes are a must.
The best time to visit is around sunset. You can appreciate the changing scenery from the glowing sky to the moment the city lights begin to sparkle after dark. It's recommended to take a slow walk along the fortress wall and reminisce about the scenes from the anime.
How to Take Great Night Photos at Naksan Park 📸
The night view at Naksan Park can be captured beautifully even with a smartphone. The key is to use the fortress wall as part of your frame.
- Recommended Spot: A composition looking down on the Seoul cityscape (especially towards Namsan Tower) from atop the fortress wall.
- iPhone: Night mode will activate automatically (yellow icon at the top). It's crucial to hold your hands steady and not shake. Resting your elbow on the fortress wall is a good method. If you want a brighter photo, tap the screen and slightly raise the exposure (sun icon).
- Galaxy: Select 'Night' mode in the camera app. Just like with the iPhone, minimizing shake during the shot is essential for a clear photo. If you can use 'Pro' mode, setting a low ISO (below 800) and securing a shutter speed of 1-2 seconds (requires a tripod) will result in even higher-quality night photos.
- Common Tip: Never use the flash. The flash will only light up the nearby fortress wall, making the important background—the city's night view—dark.

Bukchon Hanok Village: A Scenic Spot with Etiquette 🤫
Bukchon Hanok Village, which appeared as a backdrop for emotional one-on-one talks or date scenes in the anime, is a place where you can feel the beauty of traditional Korean hanoks. Walking through the quiet alleys feels like traveling back in time.
However, this is also the location that requires the most caution during your Kedeheon pilgrimage. Bukchon Hanok Village is not a tourist site, but a residential area where people actually live. While it's great to soak in the emotions of the anime, it's most important to practice 'quiet tourism' so as not to disturb the daily lives of the residents.
When visiting, please adhere to basic etiquette: do not talk loudly, do not litter, and do not peek into or photograph the insides of gates. It's best to avoid visiting early in the morning or late at night.
As a tip, renting a hanbok to wear for photos can create even more special memories. It's also a good idea to plan your itinerary in conjunction with the nearby Samcheong-dong Cafe Street.
How to Take Great Photos in Bukchon's Alleys 📸
The charm of Bukchon lies in the alleyway views where the hanok roofs overlap. Here are a few tips for capturing that perfect shot.
- Recommended Spot: The alleyway (the most crowded one) among the '8 Views of Bukchon' where you can see N Seoul Tower or the city skyline along with the hanok roofs.
- iPhone: Utilize 'Portrait Mode'. By placing your subject in the foreground and naturally blurring the background (bokeh), you can create an atmospheric photo focused on the person, erasing other tourists.
- Galaxy: 'Portrait' mode is also recommended. You can adjust the background blur intensity to create your desired look.
- Common Tip: Turn on your camera's 'Grid' setting. You can get a stable composition by aligning the hanok rooflines or the alley's vanishing point with the rule-of-thirds grid. Also, shooting from a slightly Low Angle will make the hanok eaves appear more magnificent.

Myeongdong & COEX: Stages for Saja Boyz and Hunttrix 🌟
True to its title, K-POP Demon Hunters (Kedeheon) also features scenes set in the heart of K-Pop. Myeongdong Street, where the boy group 'Saja Boyz' performed, and the COEX K-POP Square, where 'Hunttrix's' music video was unveiled, are the main locations.
Myeongdong Street (Saja Boyz) 🛍️
Myeongdong Street is one of Seoul's representative shopping districts, famous for fashion, beauty, and a variety of street foods. It's a fitting location for a vibrant street performance, just like the 'Saja Boyz' in the anime.
The advantage of visiting for a pilgrimage is that you can enjoy shopping and food at the same time. However, be aware that it gets extremely crowded with both local and international tourists on weekends and in the evenings, so be careful not to lose your companions.
Myeongdong Theater
COEX K-POP Square (Hunttrix) 📺
The giant digital billboards on the outer walls of COEX and Starfield, near Samseong Station Exit 6, are now considered a holy land for K-Pop. This is the very spot where 'Hunttrix's' music video was revealed on an overwhelming scale in the anime.
In reality, idol birthday ads and comeback promotions are constantly displayed here, and it's also famous for the giant 'WAVE' media art. This place is also best visited at night to fully experience the brilliance of the displays and the vibrancy of the media art. It's great to look around in combination with the nearby Starfield COEX Mall and SMTOWN Museum.
When taking photos, be aware that the light from the billboards is very bright, which can make it difficult to capture both a person and the screen clearly.
- Photo Tip: You must use the 0.5x Ultra Wide lens on your smartphone to fit the massive curved screen into one frame. Long-press on the brightest part of the screen to 'Lock AE/AF', then slightly lower the exposure value. This will prevent the screen from being blown out and will keep it looking sharp.

Battle Backdrops: Jayang Station (Ttukseom Park) & Cheongdam Bridge 🌉
The areas around Jayang Station and Cheongdam Bridge appeared as backdrops during intense battle scenes that took place on the subway or near the Hangang River in the anime.
Jayang Station (Formerly Ttukseom Park Station) 🚉
Be careful not to get confused, as 'Ttukseom Park Station' was recently renamed 'Jayang Station' (Subway Line 7). This station is directly connected to Hangang Park and is a beloved relaxation spot for citizens.
For a pilgrimage visit, it's recommended to time your visit for sunset and enjoy a walk or picnic at Ttukseom Hangang Park. Unlike the tension of the anime's battles, you can enjoy the peaceful and beautiful sunset and night view of the Hangang River.
Cheongdam Bridge (Hangang Night View) 🌃
Cheongdam Bridge is the bridge immediately visible from Jayang Station (Ttukseom Hangang Park). It has a double-decker structure with cars on the upper level and Subway Line 7 on the lower level. This is also why it's frequently referenced as a backdrop for subway battle scenes.
The night view of Cheongdam Bridge from Ttukseom Hangang Park is stunning. A key photo point is to capture the moment a subway train passes over the bridge.
Ttukseom Hangang Park Night Photography Tips
- Recommended Spot: The riverside at Ttukseom Hangang Park, at a location with a clear view of Cheongdam Bridge.
- Technique (Long Exposure): Try taking a long exposure shot to capture the light trails of the subway or cars.
- Galaxy: In 'Pro' mode, set the shutter speed (S) to a long duration, between 4-10 seconds, and lower the ISO to around 100. A tripod or a stable surface to fix your smartphone is essential.
- iPhone: Turn on 'Live Photo' and take a picture timed to when the subway passes. Then, in the Gallery, swipe up on the photo and select the 'Long Exposure' effect. This will merge the Live Photo frames into a cool light trail photo.

Jamsil Olympic Stadium & Lotte World Tower 🏙️
The Jamsil area is another one of Kedeheon's main settings. The symbolic venue where Hunttrix held their massive concert and the skyscraper presumed to be their dorm are both located here.
Seoul Olympic Stadium (Hunttrix Concert) 🏟️
The large concert venue where Hunttrix performed on their dream stage is based on the 'Seoul Olympic Stadium'. It is a symbolic venue that has hosted concerts for countless K-Pop artists.
However, the Seoul Olympic Stadium is currently undergoing major renovations until the second half of 2026. Therefore, even if you visit, entry is impossible, and you may only see construction barriers. As a Kedeheon filming location tip, be sure to check the latest construction progress before visiting and plan to just view the exterior from a distance.

Lotte World Tower (Hunttrix Dorm) 🗼
The skyscraper that appears in the anime as Hunttrix's dorm or as a symbolic landmark of Seoul seems to be based on 'Lotte World Tower'. Boasting a height of 123 floors, this building is visible from almost anywhere in Seoul.
For pilgrimage visitors, going up to the 'Seoul Sky' observatory is highly recommended. You can see the entire cityscape of Seoul at a glance, and visiting around sunset allows you to enjoy both the sunset and the night view. It's a good idea to book observatory tickets in advance, and taking a walk around the nearby Seokchon Lake Park is also a great addition to your course.

[Special Visit] Andong Hahoe Village (Joseon Flashbacks) 🌾
While most of Kedeheon's backdrops are concentrated in Seoul, there is a special place rumored among fans to be the reference for the Joseon Dynasty flashback scenes. This is 'Andong Hahoe Village', located in Andong, Gyeongsangbuk-do.
Since this is not in Seoul, a day trip is very difficult. However, the traditional hanoks, the gently flowing Nakdong River, and the tranquil scenery are more than enough to evoke the atmosphere of the past scenes in the anime.
If you are considering a regional visit for your K-POP Demon Hunters pilgrimage, Andong Hahoe Village will be a special experience. When visiting, it's best to check KTX or bus schedules in advance and plan a leisurely itinerary of at least half a day.
